When cash runs low and finances get tight, we all cut back on the few extras with which we indulge ourselves. Dining out less often, for example, or buying fewer CDs. But what is the last luxury you tend to give up?

What special extravagance do you try to allow yourself whenever possible? A particular type of lotion, or brand of cosmetics? A favorite snack? A massage or manicure? High-speed internet access?

What’s the appeal of that “last luxury”? Have you ever had to give it up?

My Answer:

I would have to say Internet Access. Not high speed access, just access. When you live in the Third World it’s a luxury, and I hate going even one day without it. I have been known to go to all lengths to pay my bill, it’s like a definitely MUST HAVE.

I have spent almost ten years online, and it’s been one of my fundamental neccessities since I discovered it.

My online life has been varied, and I have had experience with all kinds of online phenomena, in some cases, I have been an early adopter. I find that I cannot sustain more than a week or two without the Internet, because so much of my life has been wrapped up in it.

Other than that, I think the only thing I must have is coffee… I just cannot live without some kind of caffeine in the morning. I don’t drink a lot, but without it, I am a zombie.

None of this original, but it is what I think.
