The erstwhile and fun mystichooligan has predicted my future!
And here it is:
Ah, the sungoddess : seeker of spiritual truth, teller of erotic tales, dispenser of metaphysical wisdom, mixer of potions. Her soul alive with aesthetic aspect, ideas esoteric, deep–all mixed with a pinch of sweet, brown sugar.
There she is stirring ingredients into the boiling pot of water:
1 ounce allspice
1/4 ounce whole cloves
1 ounce cinnamon sticks
2 ounces astragalus
1 ounce nutmeg
2 ounces ginger root
1 ounce of fennel seeds
1 ounce star anise…Stirring while chanting…
“Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, Nam Myoho Renge Kyo…”
She dreams and she thinks and she hopes and desires, processes it into the written word in her head.
So she mixes and she chants and dreams…
And POOF!
Out of the steaming water rises a genie, a great, rotund, blue genie looking a good deal like the cartoon one in Disney’s “Aladdin.”
Of course, he is there to grant her the proverbial three wishes. Sungoddess requests:
1. “An imperturbable heart, content at all times, in perfect harmonious balance at all times.”
Genie says: “It is so.”
2. “A career that will be stable for my entire lifetime, that fulfills me absolutely and will make me wealthy so I can pursue all I love.”
Genie says: “It is so.”
3. “A man that is not emotionally retarded or a flat out liar and cheater, who is sweet and intelligent, creative and talented, deep and soulful, and one damn fine humdinger of a lover.”
Genie says: “And not Gay? Sorry sister, I’m a genie not the Lord God Almighty.”
So the Sungoddess substitutes a very sweet and loving cat that won’t die in her lifetime for wish 3.
And she lives happily ever after (except for the whole “Mr. Right” thing.)
