I Am Alive

I live…..

I live in spaces with enemies all around,

But guardians and friends as well,

I am safe

I am loved and cared for

I am being protected

Enemies cannot penetrate the strength of my guard

and or my guardians

I went there to be free

And more of the rope twisted around me

I shake and a shimmy

And I was gone,

Flown into the arms of a fierce and loving Mama

Brothers with strength in arms

Sisters who soothed and fought with the boys

And this morning,

I am free

I am free

and I am loved.
