Session Title: African American Literature (Standing Session)

This year’s African American Literature panel especially invites 15-minute paper presentations on literatures of segregation, though any topic in African American literature is welcome.

Is there an identifiable literary tradition responding to, representing, or protesting U.S. racial segregation? Examinations of individual works, authors, genres, or movements welcome.
