10 years ago: I was literally recovering from the breakup with TMG. Lotsa crying, lotsa heartache. I was freelancing at the Trinidad Guardian and in psychoanalytical psychotherapy, and completely not enjoying 21.
5 years ago: I had just had a huge fight with my mother, and moved out and went to live with a rastaman friend of mind, up on a hill in a shack with no running water, unreliable electricity and serious holes in the roof. Although I didn’t know it, my best friend was dying and had less than two weeks left to live.
1 year ago: I had just arrived in London, and had gotten my Tube ID (now lost it seems along with every travel card and train ticket I bought since and my Oyster card to boot). I was feeling freer and felt like England would provide me with endless and ample opportunity to prosper and grow.
Yesterday: I mostly worried about where I was going to live after Monday, and thought more about TMG and his reappearance in my life. I also read Dune and tweaked ndelamiko.net.
Today: Had a business meeting to redevelop a web site (GOT THE CONTRACT); went to see the babalawo I’ve been working to collect something he had for me that’s going to help my situation(s).
Tomorrow: Going to check out this room in a house where I can stay until the end of August. Might go out somewhere with tulpa_team (although I really need to buckle down and pack!) or go hang out with Rentaempress who is riding out on Sunday to parts named Zurich, because of a man with an unfortunate first name.
