I had forgotten how long it took to braid your hair. It was hours and hours and hours, and I was breaking off my neck wanting to sleep at the end of it.
Thank god, my girl D had a yoga ball for me to sit on, cause I would have DIED if I had to sit on my ass in a hard chair for the duration.
I am quite pleased with the outcome… at least now I won’t frighten myself in the mirror during those 3am bathroom runs…. and I won’t look tore up in my post-partum pics. LOL… I was really worried I’d have to take post-baby pics with this funny looking afro that was determined to do it’s own thing.
At least, I’m starting to look like my old self again. I always think I look better with some hair, although bald suits me too….it’s just the in between parts that just look all weird and wrong.
I’m feeling my new look too… It’s nice to have something to shake after nearly a year of running close to the scalp. Allyuh know me, any excuse to not comb my hair, is a good excuse. Low maintenance hair is my favourite style… #160this is nice. Hope it lasts about a month or so without walking out of my hair.
