Specific actor/crew thank you notes:
Ronald D. Moore – Your story rocks. I think it’s fabulous work, and I appreciate your efforts to make TV watchable.
Katee Sackhoff – I was in love with Dirk Benedict’s Starbuck, I wanted to have his babies when I was seven. You took the role and made it your own in the face of his criticism. Good on you for that. You deserve accolades for your work as Starbuck, and even though you may not have gotten them like I would have liked, I’d like to offer you this anecdote: In Barbados, where I grew up, there is a man called Richard Stoute. For decades he has hosted a Teen Talent contest and almost every musical artist of note (and many of no note at all) have passed through the ranks of his show. Winning the Teen Talent Contest is a big thing here, however, the artists who have gone on to do bigger and better and whose names are out there in the world, never won that competition. This may mean diddly squat to you, or maybe you know this already, but about you and for you, I sense bigger and better roles coming. It is my greatest wish to see you age onscreen, in amazing performance after amazing performance. I don’t care they never gave you important statues for your stellar work as Starbuck, burn me though it has from time to time. Keep going, your best is yet ahead!
Aaron Douglas – I love your portrayal of the Chief. I loved and am loving how his character has developed. You did such a wonderful job.
Michael Hogan – Never has crusty bastard looked or played better. I had never heard or seen you before on any television show I can remember (Canadian TV and films rarely makes it to the Caribbean) BUT, BUT, I will NEVER forget your name now. How do you make one eye emote so eloquently? HOW?
General thank you note:
You guys did something amazing in my life. You made me believe that amazing television was still possible. I gave up on it in 1997, and have rarely watched any show with any regularity, but this show glued me to the television and made my heart race before every premiere! Thank you for that! Thank YOU!
Blessings and Good Things!
